thanks for the tip. After rebooting the problem was solved, so I think it had to do with memory.

Robert DiMauro So you are saying that when you select the tool for DataGroup Catalog Editor that the dialog that opens is empty and does not show any catalogs or properties? Can you check your configuration variables, DG_PATH and DG_CATALOGS_PATH to see if the variables are looking at the correct dataset and folders?
