Highrise Elevations - level of detail

Hi All,

I have a question/discussion topic that maybe helpful for others out there.

We struggle with generating elevations for highrise buildings where we would like to control what we see in our "2d" elevations vs what we have in our 3d model.

The model is a very detailed façade system where we can assess the junctions and details, where as we like to have our elevation drawings a simplified version of this as a design intent. This drawing may only contain a few lines that indicate the façade module.

We have achieved this through compound cells and utilizing various levels and 2d drawing information to replace the 3d geometry.

Just wondering how other are achieving elevation drawings where the 3d model has too much detail or even has facades at sloping angles that would produce too much linework for a 1:100 drawing.
