Hi Steve, thanks for the input. I think that's the conclusion I've been coming to myself. Just wanted to check there wasn't something I was missing.
The ABD sales guys and our own internal knowledge of Revit has created the illusion that adaptive parametric steel-work layout is possible in ABD (i.e. members stay "connected" and adapt to translations etc).
As far as I can see, the approach to such things in ABD structural will be to tools such as stretch, to adjust floor levels & bay spacings, and perhaps use other tools such as the L-connection you mentioned.
Does this sound like the kind of workflow typically used by structural designers who use ABD for production?
