ABD CE - Smart lock on wall tool

I have been meaning to raise this for a long time.

In all versions of ABD including the recent ABD CE.  I have found you cannot snap to a all with the smart lock tool active..  This is even worse with the Close wall option active..

In the image above, I simply want to snap to the top left edge of the wall Location 1, at location 5 I activate Smart lock  but but there is NO snap available
