OBD Structural Deck tool for arraying and trimming purlins?

Is there a way to fool the Structural Deck tool to place an array of beams instead of the corrugated decking?

This would make it behave a bit more like Prostructure's Purlin tool which also works like R*vit.

This seems to be a popular way of doing things.

1. Place Shape for boundary
2. Define direction of purlins
3. Define spacing of purlins parametrically.
