UK Dataset Update: Drylined Partitions

The UK dataset has been always been a bit 'half-hearted' and increasingly a big barrier to adoption.

Too much reliance on the RFA Intrepreter tool, but that does not process .rvt files.

For example, take drylined partitions. British Gypsum is the 'tupperware' here in the UK for metal stud partitions. BG (and others) supplies copious CAD and BIM info for free. The problem is that the info is provided in .rvt format presumably because Revit's Wall tool is a Systems family and not readily usable as a RFA. This annoying problem also applies to a lot of content for floors and ceilings.

For stud partitions, it would make sense to bring the partition build-ups into OBD using the Architectural_cparts.xml...

1. Convert pdf table to Excel.

2. Generate 2,3,4,5 ply buildup templates in OBD's F+P editor.

3. Transfer the properties. But, it would be a lot easier to edit the xml in table format... which is possible to create in Excel.

But, Excel can't seem to save it back in the right xml format. Any tips? Apparently, I need an .xsd or some way to map the cells to the xml properties?

Partitions alone has 400+ variations :-(
