OBD CE U7
Looking at the resi market in the UK, which is dominated by R*vit models, there is extensive use of Model Groups.
Model Groups are popularly used to define update-able layouts for the individual dwellings and assembled in the host model. They are preferred over Model Links mainly because the Walls in the Links do not 'clean themselves up' when they butt up against Walls in the host model or other Model Links (Mstn Ref Attachments). MGs are also editable in place, making them ideal for design productivity, compared to wresting with jumping in and out of out-of-context models in the Cell library.
OTOH, The y are not without their limitations. MGs are also preferred over Families, as the RFAs can not contain System families like Railings etc.
Happy to see that if TF_UNIFY_CELL_CHILDREN is enabled, OBD walls unify nicely.... for most cases.
