I put (make a copy of) the floormaster.dgnlib into PW then the BB_FLOORMASTER_DGN was set in PW Managed Workspace Application CSB to point to this PW floor master.dgnlib. It seems to work so far . Of course if user opens a file outside PW (non PW Managed Workspace then), the floormaster.dgnlib in the Project directory outside PW will be used (set as default by project.pcf) but without any customised building floor and grid info that are set in the same file name existed in PW.
My ABD outside PW setup is pretty much following Marc's QuickConfig setup, I currently have one project folder setup (outside PW) for all existing buildings in the campus we may build up models for FM management (not construction project) as I cannot see any benefits setting up each project for each building other than admin overheads. There is really no need to segregate company and project(building) specific datasets-pats-family in our situation, putting those into company dataset folder (also outside PW at the moment) is central logical location to manage all as campus operator and we don't have separate standards for each building other than a unified standard approach, we are owner operator not design consultant. Remember all building working files are in PW in different building folders across the respository that PW should manage design, drawing & sheet model reference linking if I'm right.
I do want to following PW Managed Workspace deployment guide but it lacks the same separate company dataset management approach in QuickConfig, if i interpret the manual right, it imports and uses the whole deleivered localized dtatset as company dataset that making upgrade to new ABD version not as simple as QuickConfig approach. I do hope the two guides have consistent recommendations for users.
