The SWA rule is what we will stick to using ABD default seed UOR and mixing MicroStation default seed UOR, relocating GO.
By using the suggested workflow of p and w drives according to quick config guide, all parts in p and w drives are empty to start with. When we start modelling campus buildings one by one, we would use parts from the delivered dataset naturally to start off, those parts used are presumably forming either a future company or project (building) parts. Is that right?
If so, can we first copy all those parts (xml) that we think will use to w drive (company dataset), coupling with _BB_DG_LOCK =1 (something like this) switch then for each building modeller can add new parts that are specific to building in the corresponding project (building) in p drive? Do we do this in parts explorer or thru Windows explorer? That way any future ABD upgrade should not be affected?
Although we are trialing the P and W drives setup, we would want to use ProjectWise managed workspace in the end. That would probably make the setup more complicated.
We are so new to the software that pardon our questions which may sound silly?
