RE: IFC import

Not really Steve. The problems are two-fold. Firstly we are the only Design Team member not using Revit therefore we are seen as the problem as everyone else simply uses the Revit model so going back to them suggesting that they need to do something with their Revit model so we can use it is not going to go down well!!! Secondly, it's ok for me to activate the holes when i know that they are not activated but this is relying upon me spotting that a slab has not got all the holes shown, if these holes are there why is AecoSIM not showing them in the first place and why is it not giving me an error message to tell me so?? Bearing in mind that .ifc is the ONLY file format that we can exchange intelligent information with Revit users AecoSIM should be making sure that it is doing a good job of it.
Currently we are swapping out AecoSIM licenses for Revit licenses within the practice and personally i dont see how we will ever do another project on AecoSIM there are just too many inherent problems that require 'work-arounds' to get the program to function at even a basic level. It's such a shame as i love modelling with AecoSIM it's really good fun however the rest of the program just isnt fit for purpose and it fails to do the most simple of tasks.
