When joining unlined branch duct to lined trunk duct with "Join With Takeoff", the takeoffs generated are the wrong size. Also, a transition gets generated to attempt to make up the difference in size.
Here's the scenario break-down:
1. Unlined rectangular branch to lined rectangular trunk: The branch takeoff is too big. The takeoff improperly adds liner to itself the same thickness as the trunk duct, thus increasing its outer dimensions. Then a transition gets generated to make up the difference.
2. Unlined round branch to lined rectangular trunk: The branch takeoff diameter is apparently being restricted by autofitting. The takeoff also improperly adds liner to itself, but also the "Diameter3" property has erroneously been included as an autofitting parameter. So regardless of the branch duct size, the size of the takeoff generated is whatever "Diameter3" happens to currently be set to in autofitting. Then a transition gets generated to attempt to make up the difference.
3. Unlined oval branch to lined rectangular trunk: Exact same error as in #2. Only instead of "Diameter3", it's "Width3" and "Depth3" properties that are erroneously included as autofitting parameters. -same wrong results.
4. Unlined rectangular branch to lined round and lined oval trunks: Exact same problems as in #1 above.
5. Unlined round and unlined oval branches to lined round and lined oval trunks: The branch takeoff is generated with the correct outside diameter, but it improperly adds liner to itself the same thickness as the trunk duct. -This means wrong inside dimensions.

Dear mech programming, All takeoffs, whatever the shape, must always maintain the characteristics (size, liner, insulation, etc) of the branch duct they're tapping for, not the trunk duct they're tapping from/to.
Please fix this.
Thank you,
Jeff
ps. While you're at it please remove the takeoff parameter "Center Offset" from the influence of autofitting.
