When creating dynamic views to produce structural drawings how do you exclude members from the drawing. When I select the No display rule based on Selection Set the selection tools are grey out.
I have tried using the delivered Struct Framing seed file and it makes no difference.
The help files say to do below which doesn't makes much sense and is alot of work just to exclude a member

When i open a model and i select objects and use the structural report spreadsheet option, it works as intended (as shown below). However when my colleague attempts to do this same process, the report tab as shown below is not automatically filled out like mine and therefore empty. Does anybody know why this is? If so, your help would be much appreciated.

I have floor levels set at specific elevations, for some reason certain elevations are not at the level it is supposed to be once the elevation datums are generated!?
T/o North Exhaust Structure Roof 178850 is where it should be, but the Main Entrance FFL 171575 is shown about 24 metres below.

I have just set up the place railing tool only to find out that the handrail I have placed as a CHS42.4x3.2 doesn't come in with any structural data so I can not assign any drawing rules.

After relocating Global Origin using monument point (GO=) to set up a custom coordinate system for a site, the coordinates for the corners of the building were copied from the X & Y axis boxes into the ‘Model Space’. However, the text appeared jammed in the corresponding ‘Drawing Space’ and ‘Sheet Space’ as the attached screen captures indicate. This erroneous condition happens both in AECOsim Building Design SS6 and in the CONNECT Edition. We look to Bentley Systems for better refinement in the next edition. However, corrections or work around welcome!
I am logged into Projectwise SS4 and I am using AECOSIM SS6 ver. 08.11.09.829 I was using the Place Plan Callout Command using the Mechanical templates. When My plan sheet opens the references was not included. Can anyone show me how to make my references appear?

In ABD Ss6 how do I expose the Side Options settings in the place Profile tool so I can set the Side Angle to Vertical?
I can see the option for place slab but.
Been having this issue for months, a few specific files (design models) constantly keep getting locked out even when nobody is working in those files directly. When I click on the write-lock check mark and hit OK to release it....nothing happens and the check mark remains. We constantly have to wait until the write lock gets magically released in which we can actually make modifications to that design model.
This has been a big issue and hoping to finally resolve it.
Using AECOsim SS6 V8i
Why can not I save the drawing symbol in the compound cell. It is posible in ABD V8i but it is not posible in ABD CE.
I can see the symbol but appers in red color and i can not embedded the drawing symbol in compound cell.
If I embed the drawing symbol then disappears and the name the cell is red.
In ABD V8i this is posible and the name the cell is black.
The same problem with drawing symbol front,left,right,etc

After, embedded cells, the drawing symbol disappears and text is red (no found cell)

I have a AECOsim mixed container model where I attach AECOsim and OPM reference files.
When cutting sections the pipping from OPM doesn’t show in the CUT (from clip volume settings) Im just getting forward view.
Is there a compatibility issue between this 2 packages or I’m missing something? Thanks

I am trying to draw a complex pier for a bridge, it has to be drawn as "forms". I have tried to "extrude shape to form" but it produces nothing. It asks you to select the shapes and then it does nothing. Does anyone have any ideas how this can be done? Or even how to covert "solids" to "forms"? Any help would be useful, as this is driving me insane.

Right now we are for multi storage station building. We are facing various issues in creating the GRIDS for the stations. As the station building is not a regular shape, Finally we succeeded to create the GRIDS in AECOsim, but those are not the 3D grids which does not shows up in all the floor level. Finally we have created a separate 2D GRID and attaching in all the floor plan's. Which i believe was not a right solution. So some one guide me how can i create 3D and let it gets pop up's automatically in the floor plan?

I have a Sub Contractor using AecoSIM Connect edition and I am using SS6, will I get any compatibility issues?
Using AECOsim v8i ss6, I have mesh curved (faceted) surfaces originally imported from ACAD file, which are now cells with data assigned.
When I export to ifc using optimum setting the smooth curved elements export with crude results.
Does anyone know if there is a way to improve facet quality?

I was wondering if Configuration Explorer is still in active development. I find this tool really useful though it doesn't seem to have been updated in a couple of years. Also is it compatible with ABD Ss6 as I am not able to load up a User or Project in the Open Application Manager
